We use a similar approach. From what I understand though, BARS does not backup your MLA database if you are using 3.3(x). MLA requires a seperate backup/restore process.

Best solution is to pull a drive every month or so and keep it on a shelf. better to loose a month then to loose everthing.... and if your using BARS you loose nothing.

I try about every 3-5 month to pull the publisher (MCS 7835) drive 0 and remirror a new drive. If I loose the publisher I go back, grab the mirrored drive restore the previous nights BARS and rebuild the subscriber.

Subject: [cisco-voip] CallManager Veritas Backup Restore Solution

  Hi,
Since the native CallManager backup utility and BARS work only partially, since in case of a restore the Applications must be reinstalled first, I'll appreciate if you could enlighten about Veritas or any other total/comprehensive backup-restore solution that actually works as a single solution without the need to reinstall first CallManager.
  Thanks
  -Tennisman.
