In pratical world you probably don't see mixed T1 and E1 on the same router,
but in the lab it definitely can save one slot for other stuff.
Does anyone mind trying to see you can actually mix T1 and E1 on a
NM-HDV2-T1/E1 with VWIC-MFT-T1 or VWIC-MFT-E1? I guess it should work but
can't be sure without trying.
I found a useful link for this module:

I also have same question on an AS5300..

Hi,
After I read the doc for this module, I've a few questions since I never use
this:
1. can the on-board T1/E1 be configured as either T1 or E1? So both commands
"controller t1" and "controller e1" show up in the config for the same
slot/port?
No, first you select either E1 or T1, with "card type {t1 | e1} slot
subslot"
2. if answer is yes to question 1, so you can configure one port as T1 and
the other E1 if you have two ports?
No, they have to be the same
3. if answer is no to question 1, can you put in VWIC-T1 or VWIC-E1 to have
mixed T1 and E1 ports?
Maybe, but why would you use both?
4. can you mix PVDM2 and PVDM in the same NM?
Only PVDM2
Thanks!
