The GW's in NY are X4604 blades in a Cat4506 that terminate PRI lines. They are MGCP enabled GW's.

If it just serve to transmit IP, it is

Yes, as I mentioned it terminates POTS calls.

Not if I'm using MGCP right? Why does my PRI GW need to know about a VOIP call that is not even touching this GW?
