[cisco-voip] Unity install log files shows SQL SPPI can't be determined

Has anyone seen where they built a Unity Unifed Messaging 4.0(4) with
Exchange 2003 server and the SQL Database had problems? After spending
some time with TAC and setspn.exe not fixing it (they advised they would
need to escalate with Microsoft). We could ping by DNS name, reverse
lookup, etc.

I'm thinking about rebuilding from OS up, as I'm not sure what else may
be foo-bar, it wasn't yet in production. I am concerned as the customer
has some Group Policies on OUs, but I can't see where they are impacting
the server, and they have another Unity Unified server in the same OU (I
did advise OU policies was not supported or recommended) -jason

Start > Programs > SQL Enterprise Manager >

Local Databases shows "Local" instead of <hostname> (Service
Principle Name is missing)
