Bad hookflash, RMA the phone. I've seen about 1 in 200 phones have too
sensitive hookflash in 4 years. They should use a magnet or another
form to detect offhook versus a mechanical button.

Subject: [cisco-voip] Answering the 7970 - handset vs softkey

Could someone help me understand why the 7970 sometimes will not answer
a
call when you lift the handset, you have to hit the answer softkey that
appears. How does the phone choose which method to usse, it seems
random
to me.
Is there a way to force it to use the handset no matter what?

Thanks
