[cisco-voip] Low Disc Space on Publisher

To be honest I'm not too sure, but the log files are only showing the IP
addresses of the pc's that we have running RTMT a typical entry in the
log file is this.

 2006-11-19 00:00:02 129.201.70.200 CCMAdministrator (SQLSvc)

We have 2 pc's that run RTMT and we leave these constantly with the
application running. How does the RTMT use the IIS and will this affect
it?

How much IIS activity do you have to generate log files that big?  Do  
your users rely on CCMUser and/or IP phone services a lot?

I wouldn't stop the IIS logs, just delete the ones you don't need.
They are very useful when something automagically changes that takes
down your cluster and nobody knows how it happened.

The ex061202.log type files are IIS logs. From a Cisco TAC
perspective they are only used for troubleshooting IIS issues and
maybe to track down the source of someone accessing CCMAdmin. Other
than that I don't see any reason that you would need to keep them.

Not sure what version of CCM you are running but this might be of
interest:

Stop the " Cisco Serviceability Reporter" service and delete the log
files manually.

I also have a large number of these ex log files in the location c:
\winnt\system32\LogFiles which come to a total of 14.8GB

What exactly are these and can they be deleted?

You can delete the trace files but that might only be a temporary
fix. The traces have configurations to control the number of files
and size of files written. One recommendation, if you have 7845s, is
to move the CCM, CTI, SDL/CCM and SDL/CTI traces to drive F:. Not
only will this help with disk space it it also improves the
performance of the server as it doesn't compete with the OS when
writing to the drive.

I would look for the largest files on the server:

- Right click on Drive C: in explorer and select Search

- Under Search Options select Size

- Enter 10000 KB and start the Search

- Sort by the Size column

If you find very large files report back with the names and sizes.
Someone will be able to give ideas on next steps. I suspect the
problem is with SQL transaction logs not being truncated.
