The 7960 itself is capable of displaying alpha characters. I have tried
it with SIP and also with CME.

You could change the line text label of the primary line to be the name.
The space all the way in upper right hand corner is for the external
phone number mask, i'm not sure if that field will accept alpha
characters or not - have never tried. Guessing it doesnt though.

Hi Everyone,
I am currently trying to configure IP phones for the newly install CCM.
Does anyone know how to get the user's name display on upper right hand
corner of 7960 IP Phone?
Your help would be greatly appreciated
Regards,
Manoj
