How often would you say you require a reboot. We can't be the only ones with this issue. Anyone else?

Gee, have we had this problem?

Hmmm...

Well, we have a customer with a couple of sites, all on 2821s, and we have been hitting the bug...

If you do a:

term mon

test voice port 0/1/1 codec-debug 100 0

You will see 4-character hex output if you are hitting the bug (normally, you see 2-character hex output)...

And yes, the only fix is a reboot... Cisco says they are 'working on it,' so we are not expecting a fix any time soon.

There is a known bug out there with FXO cards that seems to be affecting us (Waiting for another occurrence to verify with debugs for TAC). The FXO cards on 2800/3800 serires routers can get hung up. Inbound and outbound calls stop functioning and the only workaround at this time is a reboot. I have about 5 locations with a 2800 series router and FXO cards. I only see this problem in one location that happens to have the heaviest call volume. Just curious if anyone else has encountered this issue….
