No, you just need to upgrade the TSP to 8.1.1, not an unreasonable request.

To be honest, I suspect that only a scant few will move to 5.0(1), and most
will wait for 5.0(3) (for reasons I am not sure I can divulge).

By then, most people will either be on new installs of CCM5, or will be
upgrading everything anyway.
