Here is one of the issues you might run into with using an underscore
for the CCM name:

There are a few others I have seen; Voicemail port wizard failing and
problems with updating Gateway information. Of course when these
problems occur there is a TAC case that is created and it usually takes
a awhile for us to notice the URL has an underscore. Most of the
problems can be worked around by using the IP Address instead of the
hostname in the URL. Also, an underscore is not supported by Cisco
TAC.
