[cisco-voip] T.38 fax cisco- patton

Thanks for the response
We are in the process of debugging several issues with Patton tech support, so I didn't want to necessarily debug the issues here.
I was more interested to know if anyone had successfully used t.38 cisco to patton, and if they could share anything on the experience.

Regards
Brian

	       Brian,

you haven't provided enough info on your subject. IMHO, An H245 trace would
show a lot. A copy of the config at both sides + an explanation what is not
working on 100% would help a lot.

The T.38 interopability is really pain in the neck, because some gateways have
implemented different techniques. The Cisco T38 implementation drops the
current RTP port settings and starts a renegotiation once it sees a T.38
request. Another issue is that the Cisco T38 implementation supports merely
UDP as a transport protocol. You should request more information from Patton
also.
