[cisco-voip] how to remove a switch from a stack

Along the same lines, how do you guys monitor a switch in a stack when
it goes down?  Are current Net Management software only polls the IP
address of the stack, but on a couple of occasions we have lost switches
in the stack and didn't know until someone complained.....

I think the commands you want to look at are:
switch# show switch
to see how its configured, and:

switch(config)# switch <number> renumber <number>
Becareful with that command on production switch :)

My 3750 still has the interface numbers showing as the 2nd switch in the
stack  2/0/X.  I reset the switch, everything cleared but the int number
