You don't mention what Cisco phones you're running or if you're running
Cisco CallManager or another IP PBX. Given that you're talking about
SCCP, I would assume you have a CallManager installation although I
think Asterisk may support SCCP as well.
Anyway, here's a comparison of SCCP features versus SIP features for the
7961G/7961G-GE and 7941G/7941G-GE phones.

I also believe if you're not using CallManager and you purchased your
phone with an SCCP license, you may need to purchase a SIP license as
well to be legal. Maybe someone else can confirm or deny this.
