Hello,
The exchange people here have informed me that in a few weeks they will be
bringing the exchange cluster down for up to 4 hours for data center
maintenance. I was curious if there is a way to force Unity into UMR mode
before they do it (to make sure its still taking messages) and if so if that
is even worth doing. Does anyone else handle extended exchange outtages that
way or is it standard practice to let Unity go into UMR on its own when it
sees the message store disappear?
I see a doc on CCO about starting Unity in UMR mode, but it says it is for
version 3.x.
I plan on doing a server reboot when they are finished and bring exchange
back online, as that seems to be necessary at least with the version of
Unity we are running (4.0).
Thanks for the input!
