It depends on whether you are doing H.323 or MGCP. If you are doing
MGCP, you can just configure your POTS or ISDN to accept 3 digits from
the carrier from within the gateway in CallManager. If you are doing
H.323 dial peers, you just need to drop the first digit that the phone
company is passing on to you. We use the following rule to convert 7 to
4 digit for H.323.

voice translation-rule 1

 rule 1 /^327/ //

!

!

voice translation-profile ParseInbound

 translate called 1

dial-peer voice 100 pots

 translation-profile incoming ParseInbound

 preference 1

 destination-pattern 9T

 incoming called-number .

 direct-inward-dial

 port 0/2/0:23

!

dial-peer voice 102 pots

 translation-profile incoming ParseInbound

 preference 1

 destination-pattern .T

 incoming called-number .

 direct-inward-dial

 port 0/2/0:23
