Hi,
i have a BARS backup image of a standalone CCM 4.2(1)
I have built a new CCM with the same name, domain, IP etc and i restored
this image with the same BARS version with
no problem!! Everything was very smooth!
BUT,
i wanted to restore the same Image to a fresh CCM CLUSTER with one
publisher and one subscriber.
The pulisher has the same name, IP etc of the server whom i have the image.
The cluster was ready: OS upgrades to both servers, ccm version the
same. The CCM up and running for both servers but there was no config.
I restored the image that i had only to the publisher and everything
seem to be OK till i noticed...
that the subscriber was missing from the config after the reboot!!I have
added it later but there are many strange things occuring till then
(eg. i cannot display the user page from the ccm admin web page at any
browser)
I was wondering if the best thing to do is:
1. Built the Publisher to the same version 4.2(1) as the image is
2.restore the image of the old 4.2(1)
3.Build the Subscriber from the beginning so it copies the database and
the config correctly from the publisher when it is installed at the
first place.
If so,
the problem is that the customer had bought 4.1(3) and now we only have
the 4.2(1) upgrade.
Due to the fact that the Publisher is 4.2(1), when i try to build the
subscriber from the beginning, the wizard asks me if it is a publisher
or subscriber installation. If i choose subscriber it says that the
publisher is a differnet version and that the installation could not
continue (remember that i have only 4.1(3) cds!)!!
Does anyone know if cisco could help me by sending me 4.2(1)
installation cd?
Thanks a lot for your time.
Anthony
