[cisco-voip] reliable FAX over IP

Problem with this solution is the local Fax machine is in a position where
running a cable is not possible so it will be a wireless connection from CME
to ATA. Or are you suggesting this:
Remote FAX -> PTSN -> CME -> over IP via SIP -> router with VIC2-FXS -> Fax
Machine?

I'd look for a VIC2-FXS versus a ATA. While the ATA is cheap its
mileage seems to vary on faxing.
I'd recommend a T.38 product like XMedius with Exchange/Outlook versus
ATA.

I am looking for an ATA that has had very reliable results when
passing FAX over IP. I was thinking of testing the Cisco
ATA 186 I1, ATA 186 I2, ATA 188 I1. This is what I'm looking for:
Remote FAX -> PTSN -> CME -> over IP via SIP -> ATA -> Fax Machine
What have been the good/bad results you all have seen?
Thanks!
Curt
