[cisco-voip] Dial from Outlook ?

BTW, I found this one also, from Netelligent.
http://www.netelligent.com/products/dialer/default.aspx

No TAPI connection required, supports accounting and matter codes,
integrated authentication with CallManager. They say it's "easy" to
install, we'll see. Waiting on info for a demo. Can't believe any
software vendor doesn't have a downloadable demo from their site! Argh.

Geoff -

I think that product you mentioned is called XML Dial. I forget where
it came from ... pretty neat little app though.

Hope that helps.

Thanks Wes, Hermann and Jason. I installed the CiscoTSP and it works
fine. I just wonder how easy it will be to deploy to everyone via an
MSI package or simliar since there is some unique setup to be done in
Control Panel per user.

Wes, your comment made me think. Wasn't there some product someone came
out with that let you highlight any number in a webpage, Word doc, etc.,
and right click and have it dial the number? I seem to recall reading
about one.

anyway, thanks to all 3 of you for your responses.

Use the CiscoTSP or get your favorite XML devloper to write a little
tool that pushes XML to the phone instructing it to dial the
selected/highlighted text.

We're running CM 4.1(2)es40, with Outlook 2003 SP2 on WinXP SP2
desktops. What's the easiest way for the users to use dialing from
Outlook? All phones are 7970s. I know Cisco has a built-in way to do
it, but if I remember correctly, it wasn't the cleanest way. Are there
third party tools that can do this also?

Many thanks in advance.
