[cisco-voip] What dows max-conn exactly do under a pots dial-peer?

It specifies the max number of calls that can be made using that dial-peer
at a given time. 

I'm not sure if it counts inbound and outbound legs or treats them
separately.  I would not use it on an inbound dial-peer.

i have found the syntax for this command but i cannot find exactly the
maximum number of that command is?
So, suppose you have a E1 controller with 30 voice channels available.
if you use the max-conn 20 under the dial-peer pots means that no more than
20 calls can be achieved by that router?
