[cisco-voip] CM 5.x

Hi Matt

I wonder if you could answer a question about integrating the contacts
on CUPS, the documentation talks about LDAP servers and LDAP Profiles
and in the Personal Communicator settings you get a choice of Directory
Server Type of Microsoft Active Directory or Netscape or Sun ONE LDAP
Server.

Is this the only way I can get directory integration can I not point it
to use the directory in call manager.

Regards

Nick

If you have any specific questions about CUPS or Unified Client, let me
know. We are currently running it here. We are in the process of
putting up our second CUPS server with LCS integration (which is still
under Cisco EFT).

It requires CUPS which is released, but is on NPH. It runs on the same
linux platform as CM with restricted access.

Doesn't the Unified Client also require the additon of the Cisco Unified
Presence Server? And if so, what are the requriements/specs for it? Is
it an MCS, on Linux, Windows, Sun?

There seems to be a lot of vapor-ware when it comes to CCM5...

Are they using the unified client? I can see that being a hugh selling
point. And quite honestly might even be the catalyst for us going to 5.X
sooner than later.

Hi

We have a customter with a small CCM 5.0.1 in production since April,
~100 SCCP phones, IP communicators, VT advantage, both MGCP and H.323
gateways.

Running almost without any issues, apart from CSCsd38232 which is
resolved in 5.0.3.

Cheers,

ML
