Subject: [cisco-voip] Garbage Charactars in Caller Display with Nortelintegration

Hello all,

I have done several of these integrations in the past but this is the first time I ran into this issue with the identical configuration. The only difference is that I am using CM 5.1 this time.

We have an ISR 2821 router with PRI module that is connected to a Nortel option 81C using DMS-100 protocol because they don't have the QSIG software. We are using MGCP and CallManager 5.1. I have attached a screen shot of how the PRI has been configured.

For some reason on the Cisco Sets, when you call a Nortel phone, the Display Name that comes back from the Nortel side, the last couple characters are random garbage characters (example John Smith would look like John Smi >/)

The debug Isdn Q931 shows the correct name coming back without the garbage, so it seems as though MGCP is having problems parsing this information into the correct format.

Thoughts?
