[cisco-voip] Caller ID from analog lines

As I know I think that caller ID is supported with MGCP using the VIC2 card just enable the caller ID. And on the other hand I have a friend who has VIC2-4FXO and the caller ID is not working with him. but It was working with me on the same module in a differenet site.

Yes that is true. H.323 provides caller ID from FXO but MGCP does not.

I remember this was discussed a few weeks ago. I did not pay close attention then since I had never had any requests relating to caller ID on analog lines but of course now I have one. Please remind me what the issue is with not getting caller ID passed on when the call comes in an analog line. In our case our 2 remote offices have analog lines going into a vic2-4fxo in a 2821 router.
