don't have to cancel to answer an incoming call anymore. the screen also changes.

but for outbound calls, yes, you still have to cancel.

if you could program the softkeys to mimic the existing softkeys, your screen save could have the same softkeys as your phone, with a 'more' key as the cancel.

  The negative with this is you have to cancel out to use the phone.  I
  hated that, so Never implemented it across all the phones.

  You can do an idle URL on those phones though. 

  Grab the IP services SDK from cco.  There is a tool to convert .GIFs to
  .CIF. 

  You can then rename the CIF to .XML and place on a web server. 

  After the idle time out, the phone will grab the image from the web
  server and display it over phone.
