Moving the PVDMs to slot 0 did the trick. Thanks.

Try moving the PVDM's to the onboard slots starting with slot 0.

I have seen it before were this does help. Also I have seen it where they get dislodged from the board so try re installing them.

Is a reload required after adding that command? After making the change, the voice-card shows "dspfarm" and the ports still do not appear. According to the router help, the dsp tdm pooling command has replaced dspfarm, so the result of seeing dspfarm under the voice-card config makes sense. I wish the missing voice-ports did! Here's a snippet of the config:

    voice-card 0
     dspfarm
     dsp services dspfarm
    !
    voice-card 1
     dspfarm
     dsp services dspfarm

    [SNIP}

    control-plane
    !
    !
    !
    voice-port 1/0/0:23
    !

    PHL_RTR_10-0-1-253#sh diag
    Slot 0:
C2851 Motherboard with 2GE and integrated VPN Port adapter, 2 ports
                         0x70: 03 89 56 30 32 20 D9 02 40 C1 FF FF FF FF FF FF

            WIC Slot 0:
FXS Voice daughter card (4 port)

    Thanks,
    Bryan

issue the command dsp tdm pooling under the voice card config

This allows the onboard cards to use the DSP's on the NM

        Hi,

We have a VIC-4FXS/DID card installed in slot 0 of a 2821. The router recognizes the card (as evidenced by sh diag output), but the voice-ports do not appear in the configuration. We have an NM-HDV2 with a PVDM-64 and PVDM-32 on it, and are using a dspfarm on that slot. I haven't been able to find anything that indicates DSPs are required in slot 0 in order to use voice-ports, but has anyone else ever had this problem? Do analog ports even use DSPs??

        Thanks,
        Bryan
