Does the BARS log (trace) give an error? It should work, but updating to the current version wouldn't hurt but may not be the cause of your issue.  I did see a couple systems where BARS got confused? with the time change and was reporting a backup was in progress already. Had to cancel the active backup, and that seemed to clear things up.

Since I did the DST update, my BARS is not 
backing-up.  I did upgrade from 4.1 to 4.2 . Do I have to upgrade BARS 
too.
