Nope you need to change it to 'allow connection h323 to sip' and vice-versa
if calls route the other direction. If in doubt add all of them :)

Thanks Ryan for ur reply. just want to tell u that the returning dial peer
that it will match on to get back to the device is using sip protocol

dial-peer voice 4000195 voip
 description Test_Fax
 destination-pattern 195
 session protocol sipv2
 session target ipv4:30.3.1.7
 dtmf-relay rtp-nte
 codec g711ulaw
 fax protocol t38 ls-redundancy 0 hs-redundancy 0 fallback cisco
 no vad

will the command allow connection h323to-h323 be effective in this case?

Thanks and Best Regards

AFAIK a pots dial-peer pointing to an MGCP controlled PRI will not work.

Try adding the commands:
voice service voip
  allow connection h323-to-h323

that is exactly what I did. I made a route pattern to return the call to the
gateway. the problem is that the returned call doesnot match the voip
dial-peer that is poiting to the device that I want to forward the call to.
it is only matching any pots dial peer if it has a match. aslo for this
device to go out through the router is it possible to do a pots dial peer
poinitng to the PRI at the smae time it is MGCP controllered?

Thanks and Best Regards

You would have to have the gateway added to CM as an H.323 gateway as well
as MGCP. Then you have to use a route pattern to hairpin the call back to
the H.323 process on the router. There is no way to do this in the gateway
itself. All calls on an MGCP controlled PRI are sent to CM.

Hello;

again regarding the PRI configuration.

is it possible to configure the gateway in MGCP and make the PRI E1 MGCP
controllered and then select a certain dialed number from the E1 range to be
forwared to another device using a VOIP dial peer on the router instead
forwarding the call to the callmanager.
