For CallManager, you are correct in saying BARS is the only supported
method of restore.
For Unity, Cisco took a different stance. You can use whatever you
want, but if you run into issues TAC can ask you to remove it before
troubleshooting. What I would suggest is that you use DiRT in addition
to whatever other backup method you choose. Schedule DiRT to run prior
to your other backup method.

A short Question, I know that Cisco forbids the use of any other Backup
method than BARS for the CCM.
Is this also true for Unity that you are only allowed of using the Unity
Build in?
I want to use Acronis, to totally rebuild the server after a crash from
the Backup, do you have any knowledge about this?
