Yeah so I've seen :) Just trying to get an idea on the disk space needed
for when I turn these traces on and what sort of performance impact its
going to have on these servers.

Customer wants to know before I can go ahead and do it... they want
specifics :) yay!

Ugh, don't bother using XML traces. The parser isn't that good and
if you ever have to send anything to TAC we'll just ask you turn it
off and reproduce the problem.

Cool, thanks.. So I'm assuming that the XML file size will be the
same as the .txt size? If so, shouldn't be too hard to work out.

Any ideas on the resource consumption when enabling traces?

Hi,

 From trace configuration page

Max file no. - 280

Max no. of lines per file - 10000

Max no. minuts per file - 1440

(this is for CCM SDI trace)

By defautt this is generate about 2,5 Mb

So next - calculation J

You can easy decrease each parameter.

But take to the account different traces ( TCD, CTI, ....)

For some reason all trace file configuration has been removed from a
customers CCM cluster and I would like to turn this back on (for
obvious reasons), just the default trace configuration.

The customer is asking how much disk space this wil consume (Pub and
2*Sub's Pub only has ~1.5Gb HDD space) as well as what the
performance impact on the server will be (if any). I would like to
respond with a valid response, does anyone have any figures on this?
