There will be a bit of a performance hit, but unless you are already
pushing your server (or running 5.0.4) you probably won't even notice.

Hi,
Some time ago, some Cisco TAC Engineer ( unfortunately donn't remember)
Said, that if you turn on all debugs in the detailed level you couldn't
notice any performance degradation.
I believe :)

Yeah so I've seen :) Just trying to get an idea on the disk space needed
for when I turn these traces on and what sort of performance impact its
going to have on these servers.
Customer wants to know before I can go ahead and do it... they want
specifics :) yay!

Ugh, don't bother using XML traces. The parser isn't that good and
if you ever have to send anything to TAC we'll just ask you turn it
off and reproduce the problem.

Cool, thanks.. So I'm assuming that the XML file size will be the
same as the .txt size? If so, shouldn't be too hard to work out.
Any ideas on the resource consumption when enabling traces?
