What make/model phone or region/country uses 90 volt phones? I did a
google search and see some intercom/hospital phones. I had never heard
of 90 volt until your posting, something to watch out for! -jason

Hello kenneth;

Thanks for your reply, the problem was that the VG224 only supports FSK
with 24 or 48 volt and the analog phone that I was testing was using 90
volt by default, this phone works well with the VG248 as it supports
this high voltage but not the VG224.

Hi Ahmed,

I have VMWI working on an ISR router with FXS ports (VMWI will work on a
VG224 as well). Basically below are the requirements:

* The Cisco Gateway must run IOS version IP Voice T strain (not
SP Services on ISRs) 12.4(6)T or later (I tested 12.4(11)T2)

* Cisco CallManager version must be version 4.2 or later (I
tested CallManager 5.1.2)

* Any version of Unity (I tested Unity Connection 1.2)

* Must use SCCP(Skinny) as the gateway protocol, and NOT MGCP

Here is an output from the gateway(MWI refers to stutter tone VMWI needs
to be "ON"):

pstn#show stcapp device voice-port 0/3/3

Port Identifier: 0/3/3

Device Type: ALG

Device Id: 4

Device Name: AN17598075F0183

Modem Capability: None

Device State: IS

Diagnostic: None

Directory Number: 1005

Dial Peer(s): 101

Dialtone after remote onhook feature: activated

Last Event: STCAPP_CC_EV_CALL_DISCONNECT_DONE

Line State: IDLE

Hook State: ONHOOK

mwi: ENABLE

vmwi: ON

PLAR: DISABLE

Number of CCBs: 0

Global call info:

    Total CCB count = 0

Total call leg count = 0

Thanks,

Ken.
