Kathy,
This checklist probably won't be much help, but it will give you a sense of
what needs to be researched. I wrote docs (sorry, can't share them) that
have about 5 pages per step as listed below for Adds, plus appendixes for
moves and changes. It really is organization specific, with dozens to
hundreds of components to be configured per local policies. You might
be beginning a rather large task.
Best bet is to ask for access to your CallManager admin pages to review a
pre-configured Device and User. If things were set up well you'll be
dealing with customized templates and not have alot of variety, but if
not, ask questions about why certain settings were chosen for partitions,
calling search spaces, numbers of lines, cfa/cfna/cfb settings on each line,
voice mail settings on each line, etc. Learn (fast) which fields are not
important in your org. Also click the help and "i" buttons on the CM admin
pages to learn the definitions of each field and which ones might have
multiple values in your organization. Another tip - use the Copy feature to
copy and edit previous adds rather than starting from scratch.

- Class of Service

Add the Device (phone) *and any phone service subscriptions *

Associate the User and Device
*Step 6*
Reset the phone

Add the user to the email notification list
