I don't believe this will do much for you.... I don't think the ipPhone
field does anything including AC.  What are you trying to accomplish?

Need to change an AD integration, we have a bad field (telephoneNumber
should actually be ipPhone)... and I am wondering what the potential
consequences are.

If I delete the existing integration and create a new one, will all
user's device associations, PINs, be blown away?

Is there a way to change the telephoneNumber field to ipPhone without
blowing the integration away?
