Read the documentation covering the upgrade carefully. Go grab some
coffee, then re-read it. Run the upgrade assistant and take your
STI backup. Now re-read the documentation again.
It will be time intensive and there is vast opportunity to screw up
badly but if you are careful and read (and understand) the bloody
documentation then everything will be ok.
I would strongly recommend migrating to a new server at the same time
you do the upgrade. This makes the entire process much less
stressful because you can leave the production cluster going while
you work on the upgrade. I also doubt any server that came with CM
3.2 will support CM 4.3, 5.0, or later.

Has anyone here performed a CCM 3.2 -> CCM 4.1
upgrade?
I have just received information that our organization
will have to perform this pleasant-as-pulling-teeth
event in mid-May if all things go as planned on the
customer's side of the fence.
If you *have* performed such a feat, I would like to
know any details you are willing to divulge about this
so I can gauge the dose of painkillers I'm going to
have to abuse...and perform a cost estimate.
