[cisco-voip] IP Addressing Scheme for IPT

Hello all,
 We currently allocate subnets/IP addresses for voice VLANs from the
same 10.0.0.0 network as we allocate subnets for data VLANS. Is this a
common practice or is it more common to use a separate private address
space such as the 192 or 172 networks for voice VLANS and if so why?
