[cisco-voip] Unity and IPCC Express.

Hi Ryan,

O.K this is what they bought:

UNITYU4-200USR-E	Unity UM Exchg, 200 users, 16 session, 2 TTS, no
addl users

Is this all they needed to order? To me this looks like its just the
licensing for the users, not the software needed to install Unity,
although you can download it from CCO.

Should there have been another order for the Unity software itself?

When they bought Unity it should have come with a bijillion disks,
including the Unity platform configuration CDs. You can however
install your own OS for Unity if you wish.

Check out the Unity installation docs http://www.cisco.com/univercd/
cc/td/doc/product/voice/c_unity/unity42/add/42ad15.htm for more info.

Hi Ryan,

Thanks for the e-mail :)

I've just joined a project that was already in motion, they have
downloaded the Unity 4.2 software from CCO and have bought a license for
n users.

this must be bought? Is this correct? Or will the PAK for the User
licenses cover this?

Thanks again for your help, you'll have to excuse my lack of knowledge
with Unity (never installed it before!!)

IPCC requires the MCS OS install and Unity has its own OS install.
The two cannot run on the same server.

IPCCx can run co-resident with CCM in some cases however.

Does Cisco support IPCC Express (Standard) and Unity with MS Exchange
2003 integration to be installed on the same server? Anyone done this
and came across any problems?
