[cisco-voip] OS 4.2 Train

I think the difference is between what we support and what we maintain.

I believe the docs that state support will end for the 4.2 and 4.3 OS
trains on 3/30 mean that we will stop releasing patches for those OS
versions at that time.
At some point we have to stop releasing patches for 3 different OS
trains, frankly I'm amazed it went on as long as it did.

At no point however will you be refused support because you are
running an old OS. The worst that happens is we tell you to upgrade
because whatever problem you are hitting is fixed in KBblah from MS
that is only included in OS 2000.4.4SR98.

We got plenty of DST cases for customers running 2000.2.7 and until
the standalone OS patch was released late last week we had to tell
them to upgrade.

  Ryan,

I have been getting conflicting information on what Cisco will support
for the OS 4.2 and 4.3 train after March 20, 2007.

Documentation on cisco states support will end, but the last email I got
from a Cisco Engineer stated that Cisco will support the SR versions of
the OS (2000.4.2sr15).

Can you please clarify?

Thank you.

Becky
