[cisco-voip] Third Gen Phone Load 8.0(4)sr2 deferral?

Officially all I see in the release notes for 8.0(4)SR3a is
CSCsh62789 -

Cisco Unified IP Phone drops Extensible Authentication Protocol (EAP)
messages from PC port.

I do not see the DST fix included in 8.0(4)SR2 however.

Can anyone elaborate?

I noticed on this doc:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/phones/ps379/
products_field_notice09186a00807d3d9e.shtml

They have the following revision. "Removed reference to 8.0(4) SR2
and replaced with 8.0(4) SR3 and removed caveat below table in
Workaround/Solution section."

The reason I want to know more specifics is because I have a large
client that is running 8.0(4)sr2 and they are not having any DST
issues that I know of. I am trying to determine if an upgrade is
necessary. I would like to know why they changed the document to say
SR3 instead of SR2.

Thanks,

Jeff

Probably because it's not DST compliant.

Does anyone know the reason why phone load 8.0(4)sr2 has been deferred?
