[cisco-voip] FW: CM5 hardware requirements

Ok, so this morning I managed to install CM 5.1 on VMware, it installed
fine and I imported a DMA backup, I am able to log in to the
administration & serviceability pages and view any menu fine, but when I
log into the OS Admin page, none of the menu options will open when I
click on them.

Has anyone come across this before and could this possibly be because of
the license.

I installed 5.04 from an ISO and upgraded it to 5.1.1b

I had no problem... just make sure you select IDE for the hard drive,
give it 72GB (don't allocate space)... and it works fine... I have
phones up and gateways registered...

The last time I tried to install CM 5 on vmware hardware detection
failed and at the time I read on the netpro forums that it was not going
to be allowed. Did they change this in 5.1?

True, I am running CM5.1 on VMWare workstation on my laptop... but.

If it doesn't detect VMWare, the install will fail if the hardware
requirements don't match.

For a lab, you could use that server to run vmware and install CM5 as
a virtual machine...
