I found a strange statement on Avaya that there H323 phones will only work with there call proecssing server, and even for the SIP is the same. also I dont know why cisco charges for 3rd party phones it is not logic at all.

Thanks and Best Regards

Have you tried configuring the avaya phone as an H323 client in CCM? When you add a new phone, there is an option for H323 client.

Just think, when you upgrade to 5.x, in addition to the $115 for ipblue you will have to buy either three (basic) or six (advanced) DLU's as well ($150-$300).

Hello all;

A customer is asking us to run Avaya H323 phone and a PDA with callmanager 4.2, for the PDA I found a software that runs SCCP on the PDA www.ipblue.com <http://www.ipblue.com/> but the licensee is 115 $ for each PDA (which is very costly for the customer) and for Avaya I don't know how to install it with the system and if this is available or not, anyone has information about this??
