[cisco-voip] OT: CIPTUG feedback?

Most common gripe in the user feedback sessions (edu., which I attended,
and "open mic") was about switchhook problems.

Now, I don't spend a whole lot of time troubleshooting endpoints in my
job. But I was thinking... is this the best we could do?

We have Cisco's ears and all we can do is gripe about broken
switchhooks? Wasted opportunity. Good news for all who care about
switchhooks, the 79x2 (not 12) and newer have optical (rather than
mechanical) switchhooks.

The CM timeline looks promising. The Cisco guys kept saying the next
release of 6.x will be "the next 4.1.3" - where everyone finds a stable
version that they migrate to and sit on for a while.

On the show floor, Polycom showed a useful IP phone app used to control
their video conference endpoints. I really liked the demo I saw of
NetQoS's network and VoIP monitoring software. Anyone use their products?
