[cisco-voip] Updating MCS firmware?

Hi,

We've had a few instances whereby the SCSI Array Accelerator battery
in MCS servers (7845s) requires replacing. However, HP Support's
standard response is to update the array controller firmware before
agreeing to replace the battery. I do know that in certain early
version of the firmware (around 2.3x) the battery-status would be
mis-reported, but the versions currently in use have this fix,
although the firmware may not be the very latest.

What are the implications for updating MCS firmware with the latest HP
updates? I know some major Cisco-packaged OS updates contain bundled
HP Online Update Packs to update firmware.
