Create a route point with a special prefix that is forward all to voicemail. The voicemail profile of the route point has a mask which only forwards the last n digits to the system and drops the prefix.

For example, our direct to voicemail is *77xxxxx so the profile associate with this has XXXXX so the *77 gets dropped.

There are some docs cisco as well as the news groups. Search for direct to voicemail.

This is the one I used:

  All,

Is there a way to leave a voice message for a call manager unity user without actually ringing the phone beforehand?

Nortel does this via what's called "express messaging"..... You'd dial the express messaging DN, and after being prompted for a mailbox number and entering it, you'd be able to leave a message for the recipient without having to call their extension and ring their phone..

  Thanks,
