What does 'show power inline' give you for that phone port?
The gigabit phones all require more power than the non-GE phones (as well as
802.3AF vs Cisco-PoE). If you throw a sniffer behind the phone does it even
try to get an address via DHCP?

Subject: [cisco-voip] 7941G-GE IP Phone issues
Hi,
I just received 5 new 7941G-GE which are gigabit IP Phones. I am using CM
4.1(3)sr2. When I connect them to my 3560-PoE switch they power on, but
there is no display on the screens. I haven't tried to connect them to a
gigabit switch yet, since I am going to upgrade later this year. Only the
speaker button is lit and after about 8 seconds the extension lights flash
briefly. This happens on all 5 phones I have tried to connect. I currently
have 7941 phones and they work without any issues. I have worked with Cisco
and they cannot seem to find any issues. I was guessing it was a firmware
issue, but I cannot go through the phone settings due to no screen to see
what version of firmware or what TFTP server it is looking for. The
firmware that is in my Device Defaults is "SCCP41.8-3-3S" which is the same
for 7941, 7961 and 7961G-GE models. If anyone knows how to solve this it
would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
