There are a few advantages over using the AA in CCM. Because it is CTI based and not SCCP based, you will get double rings for off-campus calls. Also, it does not have any restrictions built in to it regarding dialing targets. As long as it exists in it's calling search space, you can dial it.
Unity requires you have a target subscriber or call handler defined. That was a pain in the you know what when we migrated and still is. You also lose double rings from off-campus callers.
Unity definately has it down for usability though - call handler greeting adminstration is the cats meow. Good luck getting CCM-AA greeting admin working properly.

Can anyone tell me about the Automated Attendant (AA) service in Call Manager? Not sure where or how it is configured. Does it have any advantages over using Unity?
