[cisco-voip] VG224 and fax passthrough

Thanks Scott.

I just did some testing and things worked with both G3 and SuperG3. Wierd. I'm guessing that's a fluke. Or I'm not reading the activity reports correctly.

But something I did find was that with using the FAXes on the VG224 were that they were quite a bit slower than the VG248. We were receiving faxes in 25 to 40 seconds and now need to wait up to a minute to receive the same one page.

Are people seeing slower fax transmittal times on their fax machines? Have you heard many complaints from users?

Lelio

It's IP..... so yes. turn off ECM and set Faxes to 14.4 (G3) Super G3 is 33.6 and does not work on IP at this time. If something has changed let me know but I have not heard of any new Fax additions weather in ATA / VG / or FXS that support 33.6.

Do I still need to turn off ECM and SuperG3 transmission capabilities? I believe my FAX manual only had tx and rx speeds, no mention of G3, if so, what speed have people used to ensure fax transmittal?

    Thanks, Lelio
