[cisco-voip] Unity not failing over to CM sub ?[bcc][faked-from]

Hello all;
As Avner said it maybe a problem in the configuration of device pool of
voice ports, but anyway if it is not correct you will not be able to
change it until you restore your Publisher server again. I have replied
to you regarding the directory that is not available; I think you can
make this work by changing the directory URL to point to a name instead
of an IP address and run DNS service on both your publisher and
subscriber. On DNS server on PUB resolve the name to the IP address of
the PUB and on the DNS server on the SUB resolve the name to the SUB IP
address. This will work with you; also it can fix the help button (by
this way it will work if PUB is down).
Thanks
Ahmed Elnagar

Hope I'm not saying the obvious, but anyway it's up to two things in
general. Call Manager group and unity telephony integration.
The call manager group config, which is applied to the device pool so
make sure the voice mail ports are in a device pool that has a group
with both servers in it.
As for unity integration, have the redundant server configured in UTIM.

CallManager 4.1(3) Publisher and Subscriber and Unity 4.0(4)
Today CM publisher went down, still trying to figure out why but it
seems to be related to a failed drive. Drive is part of a mirror
though so I am a little confused why it would take CM down. Need to
research that more and see if I can figure out a root cause.
Anyway, the issue I find more puzzling is why Unity quit working when
the Pub went down. Sub was up and phones worked, although we did
loose the directory but Unity stopped also.
Any tips on what I should look for or at? Unity shouldn't fail like
that when you loose one of your CM's right?
I seem to recall having this happen at the last place I was at. I
can't recall the fix though.
I am being vague I know and it would be hard to provide a direct
answer, looking more for just some starting points as to where and
what to look for.
Thanks!
