OK, and you would be wrong.

The only upgrade to 5.0 (from the config guide here:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cust_contact/contact_center/crs/express_5_0/installation/for_crs/crs501ig.pdf

Says you can only upgrade to 5.0 from 4.5
