[cisco-voip] CallManager 4.1(3) and 7914s....

I've seen worst ... client stuck with ICS 7750. 7905 phones EoS-d, 7906
requires 3.3(5) at least, officially anything above 3.3(4) is
unsupported on the ICS.
So theoretically, if you want to buy any new phone(s), you have to do a
hardware upgrade of the CallManager too. Just imagine telling a
customer, that they have to change their PBX if they want to buy more
phones. (I do understand Cisco that they stop supporting their old
HW/SW, but I don't agree with making their products backward
incompatible ... )
I'm not entirely sure of 79[46]X support on ICS and 79[46]0
availability, but this particular client was after the cheapest Cisco
phones anyway ...
regards,
Zoltan
ps. there are ways to cram later CCM releases on the ICS. :D but you
didn't hear it from me and I've seen nothing, know nothing.
