[cisco-voip] Music On Hold Problem

In addition to the "IP PIM" statement, you will need "ip multicast-routing" in your GWs global config to enable multicast.
At that point you can do "debug ip mpacket detail" to see if the multicast stream is getting to the router.
I guess we should ask at this point... are outside callers that traverse the gateway getting silence or tones during hold?
If tones, check your CM config. See what MRG etc... is applied to the GW. If silence, check multicast.

That is your problem.
I would read up on multicast ip pim sparse-dense-mode, how to enable,
troubleshoot.
Other option is to disable multicast and unicast the moh.

Hi Tim,
If the problem is really multicasting them am totally stuck. Tried
that command but it says "ip multicast-routing is not configured,
IP Multicast packets will not be forwarded", thus i'd have to set up
IP multicast which I have no clue about.
Thanks for the help. Any other setting or configuration you think I
may be missing or need to add/change?
Regards,
TS
