[cisco-voip] BLF on CUCM 6.1

I would like it if it showed the other user was on the phone when calling them without having to add a BLF button which is very limiting.

Thank You,
Dan Lane

Well, the good news is you don't need the dedicated CUPS server, you just need to enable the 6.x presence capabilities, I've used this for 5.x and it seems pretty similar to 6.x, but you can follow this to enable the native presence features in 6.x, such as presence aware BLF, call lists, etc:

I was all excited because after all the years of waiting through CCM 3.x and 4.x, one of the features available on CUCM 6 was BLF buttons. Now it looks like Presence has to be configured to provide this functionality? Can someone please tell me if this is accurate? All I want to do is be able to put a simple BLF button on a phone to show busy/idle status of a different DN, nothing more.

Thanks!
Jason
